"You're swinging too hard, stop trying to muscle the ball." Ever heard that one? I definitely have. Putting too much effort into a swing is a real thing, and yes, it will break your swing down entirely, but what is overswinging? On paper, I know what it is, but I'm learning that overswinging is generally just a symptom of core problems elsewhere in the swing. The speed itself isn't the problem, as once you get your mechanics down, and are able to keep your swing on plane, the amount of power used isn't relevant to 'overswinging.'
