Throughout my time writing these Quick Tips, I have learned that while position 0 and position 4 are my personal choices for the most important moments of the swing, positions 2 and 3 are by far the most asked about. That makes sense, as 2 and 3 are both very mechanically demanding positions that are fully in motion. Today, we add to our collection of Quick Tips on the issue. Kinematic sequence is incredibly important in any sport, but especially the rotational ones like golf. There is a natural separation of the hips and shoulders that happens on the way up to position 2, and this separation is the subject of today's tip. That separation is all-important, as coming over the top of the ball is a symptom of unity in the shoulders rather than separation.
