We've had the Hip Tip, we've had the Chip Tip, today we have the Grip Tip. Yup, today is about as cut and dry as the name would suggest. At least, that's what I figured, but it turns out there is a lot more to talk about. The name of the game today is actually the wrists. If there's one thing I want you to take from today's tip, it's that GRIP IS NOT ONLY IMPORTANT AT SETUP. I'll put that in all caps just so it sticks out a bit. Yes, there is only one point in the swing where you should be adjusting your hands on the club, that being position zero, but the dynamics of the wrist are a factor of grip that apply to the swing in entirety. Basically everything that can go wrong with the wrists in the swing, i.e. casting, are caused by a lack of wrist mobility. If you can train that to be even marginally better than whatever it might be now, you are going to see compounding results in your golf swing. Tune in today as Tim Graves, PGA, explains the ins and outs of wrist mobility, and how improving it will benefit your game.
