I've talked about the uniqueness of a putting stroke relative to the various other types of swings in golf, and today, I'm going to talk about something in the same vein. Putting is a lot about feel, and today's subject, pitching, is as well. However, a key difference aside from the obvious fact that the ball goes airborne in a pitch would be that the hands need to accelerate through the shot. Matter of fact, it's the number one fault we see with pitching in those looking to improve. Too often, golfers bring their hands up too high in the backswing, then decelerate through the downswing. Keep that feel, keep that acceleration, and you're well on your way to improved pitching.
