Quick Tips - Tempo Talk

Folks, it's another exciting day today- I get to talk tempo. Tempo is a favorite subject of mine, because it is highly individualistic, and there is no real right way to do things. Some people like to take a long time to get to their swings, some people are raring to go the moment they step up over the ball. Both are valid approaches, so long as you don't rush your swing itself, or lose focus while you are getting set up. What I will say is that you need to be consistent about it. Don't go a million miles an hour and then all of a sudden stop to gaze at the clouds before the next shot. Tempo is a rhythm, meaning that for everything to work, you need to find your groove and stick to it. It's one of the aspects of golf where you can, almost literally, march to the beat of your own drum. Join Tim Graves, PGA, as he talks tempo before a shot.
