As you all know by now, all positions in the golf swing are connected, and an error in one inevitably leads to errors elsewhere in the swing. With that in mind, it's hard to say which position is the most important. Obviously the purpose of the swing in its entirety is to reach perfect impact, or position 4, but then again it all falls apart anyways without a proper address. Those two are incredibly important, but today we are talking about a third key moment in the swing, the backswing. Position 2 is the main position in the swing where torque is at play, which is important for a couple reasons. When it comes to power, torque is where the majority of it is generated. The pivot of your hips and the hinge of your wrist are key factors in that torque. Join Tim Graves, PGA, as he explains these factors, and how you can develop a consistent backswing.
