Much like a house or a building, your swing is only going to be as sturdy as its foundation is. I say sturdy because today we are taking a look at bracing the back leg in the backswing. Golf is a rotational sport, and with any sort of rotation, you've got to have a pivot point. For your golf swing, your foundation is everything from your hips down, which is also where the power in your swing is generated from. Just like the building in question, if there is a compromise in that foundation, it will all crumble when having to deal with any real movement.
