To tee, or not to tee, that is the question. Initially, the answer may seem straightforward, but the more astute golfer will know that it isn't necessarily black and white. In it's most simplest explanation, when you tee up a ball, you are putting it on a pedestal. Obviously, you need to do this in order to make contact with certain clubs, namely the driver, but there are some benefits to not teeing it up. To quote Shakespeare one last time- "A ball without tee never to heaven go." Well, maybe it was worded differently, but I think that's what he'd say if he was into golf.
